SIM2 is an Italian company that makes fantastic projectors using Texas Instrument's Digital Light Projection (DLP) technology. 10% of their revenue and 20% of their man power is devoted to primary R&D. Their projectors trigger that emotional 'I want' reaction. Everything about them is top notch and screams quality - the image, the industrial design, the build quality. They are well suited to use with unity or negative gain acoustically transparent screens due to their high lumen output. Nearly all their projectors - including the mainstay Lumis and Nero lines - are 100% designed and built in Italy. The Lumis is also one of very few consumer projectors that includes 'triple-flash' technology (72 fps) for 3D images.
