Holm Acoustics DSPre1: The Absolute Sound Review

by Nyal Mellor December 07, 2010

The Absolute Sound has recently published a review of the Holm Acoustics DSPre1. From my interpretation of the specifications on their website and the user manual this unit is pretty much the equivalent of a DEQX at significantly higher cost. The Holm unit is priced at $8500 for a 'one way', which is to say that it only provides correction for one pair of inputs and does not provide any digital crossover capability. This is over twice the cost of a HDP-3 and four times the cost of a HDP-Express!

I would be very interested to hear from readers who have used the unit and even more interested in anyone who has compared it to the DEQX units.
