CEA/CEDIA CEB23 - Home Theater Recommended Practice: Video Design

by Nyal Mellor March 18, 2013

“CEDIA and its certified Electronic Systems Contractors (ESCs) follow these practices to deliver high value to dedicated home theater environments, helping ensure full performance potential for the equipment and the room.”

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) created a partnership in 2009 to create a set of home theater design standards.

CEB-23, Home Theater Recommended Practice: Video Design is now in it’s second revision and outlines recommendations for the video design of high performance home theaters that meet or exceed the commercial cinema experience.

Topics covered include projection system layout and environment design, image performance specifications and recommended practices for evaluation and calibration.
